Cheered on in stands by several hundred fans as well as "U"'s rugby team, the students coached by Carmin Popa weren't able to win, losing by a score of 64-69.

After the game, Carmin Popa posted an encouraging message on a social media site: "Congratulations Ciuc. Keep your heads up, boys..."
 
Next round, "U" will play Saturday, December 14 away from home against the team in last, CS For You Bistrița, a team that hasn't gotten a win this year and already lost against "U" earlier in the season by a score of 83-39
