 Yesterday, in the 18th round of the 1st division, "U" Cluj's Men's Volleyball team won their first game of the season in the Horia Demian Sports Arena against CSM Agronomia București.

 
"U" won in the "last place derby" with a score of 3-2 (25-21, 25-17, 21-25, 24-26, 15-9). The game didn't lack any drama as "U" needed a 5th set to win the game.
 
The first two sets were dominated by the players in black and white after keeping it close until each of the 2nd technical time outs (16-14,16-15) when "U"'s players put the pedal to the floor to pull away with no trouble.
 
The 3rd set was dominated by the away team, who came back into the game and winning the set 25-21. Even though "U"'s players dominated the 4th set with 3 match points, they lost by a score of 24-26, which sent the game to the deciding set.
 
"U" didn't start the 5th set well as the away team led several times by scores of 0-2, 2-4, 5-6. This bad start was followed by a run of 6 straight points from our players, who never gave up the lead from that point and winning the last set by a score of 15-9.
 
Following this result, "U" gained their first 3 points, but remained in last place in the 1st division.
