The Universitatea family are organizing a charitable function on Friday to help the families of the two soldiers who recently passed away after a tragic accident near Sibiu. The "Red Caps" are calling on all of "U"'s fans to come to the function, which will be held at the Polyvalent Hall at 17:00.

An auction is being held for jerseys worn by Valentin Lemnaru and Octavian Abrudan last season on the organization's facebook page. The proceeds from the auction will be donated to help the two families.

Here's the message posted by the Red Caps on Facebook:

"On Friday, January 23rd at 17:00, we're meeting up at the Polyvalent Hall for the "Solidarity through sport" charity function. We're playing football match through which we will support the families of soldiers Dorin Fodor and Gabriel Cornel Titiana, who passed away following a plane accident near Sibiu a couple of months ago. There's a 5 lei entrance fee that will go towards helping the soldiers' families. As such, anyone can come and can buy more than one ticket as well".

At the event, fans who make a donation to the soldiers' families will receieve a copy of the first two volumes of the "Black and White Interviews" with the late Historian Gheorghe Bodea on DVD. It's worth noting that the DVDs are in limited supply.[
