Universitatea Cluj won their home match against Ceahlăul Piatra-Neamț in the 34th and final round of the 2014-2015 season of Liga 1 by a score of 2-0.
The first chance of the match came in the 15th minute through Jovanovic, whose shot was saved by Barna. Seven minutes later, Ciupe also took a shot at goal, but his effort was held by Ceahlăul's goalkeeper. Five minutes before the end of the half, Viveiros' shot from 25 meters out went wide of goal. The "Red Caps" opened the scoring in the 41st minute through Ceppelini, who scored from inside the box following a pass from Morar. As such, the halftime score was 1-0.
Morar thought he had scored with the first chance of the second half in the 60th minute, but he was called for offside. The away side's best chance of the match came in the 76th minute, when Rodrigues' shot hit the crossbar. Two minutes later, Viveiros missed a great chance to double "U"'s lead following a cross from Ciupe. The "Red Caps" finally managed to double their lead through Morar, who finished Cristocea's excellent pass. Ceppelini had a chance to score a double in the 88th minute, but his shot went wide of Barna's goal. The final whistle from Mladinovici sealed a home win for "U" by a score of 2-0.
Before the start of the match, Universitatea's beloved goalkeeper, Robert Veselovsky, recieved a medal from the fans. Ceahlăul Piatra-Neamț is the only team in Liga 1 against which Universitatea recieved no yellow cards. Škvorc finished the season with the most minutes played for Universitatea in Liga 1 (2324 minutes). Cristocea's assist for Morar's goal made him "U"'s player with the most assists this season (3 assists in total). Falub's squad finished the season in 15th place.

The "Red Caps"'s final match of the season will be on Sunday, May 31st at 21:00 when they will face off against FCSB in the Romanian Cup Final at the National Arena in București.
