"U"'s men's basketball team gained promotion to the National League after beating Rapid Bucharest at home by a score of 90-89.
"U"'s promotion was ultimately decided by a game between Știința Bucharest and BC Miercurea Ciuc as Știința's victory over Miercurea Ciuc allowed "U" to clinch 2nd place, which guarantees promotion for next season.
