Universitatea Cluj played away to FC Bihor Orădea in the Round of 32. After the game finished 1-1 in extra time, "U" won the ensuing penalty shootout by a score of 5-4.

After the defeat against CSU Craiova earlier this week, George Ogăraru started Panagopoulos, Stojanovic, Achim, Lungu and Paulinho. After several chances from ourteam, Florin Pop missed from 6 meters out in the 21st minute. Two minutes later, Lucaks missed a great chance after going one on one with "U"'s goalie.

At the half, Mengolo came on for Stojanovic and, in the 57th minute, squared the ball for Boutadjine who made it 1-0 for "U". Paulinho tried to double "U"'s lead only to see his shots in the 64th and 67th minute saved. In spite of "U"'s chances, Bihor equalized in the 85th minute through Sorian, who's free kick went past Panagopoulos. As a result, the match finished 1-1 in regular time.

In extra time, Bucșa's header in the 99th minute and Boutadjine's shot in the 106th threatened the home side's goal.

Ogăraru's players didn't miss a single penalty in the shootout while Sorian missed a penalty for Orădea. As a result, "U" advanced to the round of 16 of the Romanian Cup.

"U"'s next match is on Monday, September 29th at 21:00 on the hill. "U"'s fans can get tickets for the match only on Monday from 10 to 18. The tickets will only be for the designated away fans section and can be bought for 50 lei along with ID.
