This afternoon, Universitatea Cluj's roster came back from the winter break and started training for the 2nd half of the 2014-2015 season. Sixteen of "U"'s players, including goalkeepers Veselovsky and Dolha, defenders Jovanovic, Ciupe, Neag and Bratu, midfielders Costin, Cristocea, Kovacs, Lungu, Achim and Boboc and strikers Lemnaru, Gravenberch and Morar took part in the first training session of the year under George Ogăraru. Geoffrey Castillion joined the 15 previously mentioned players in practice after having signed a one and half year contract with "U".

Over the next few days, Ceppelini, Viveiros, Škvorc, Paulinho, Mengolo and Panagopoulos will return as well. Narcisse Bambara will join the squad after he plays in the African Cup of Nations for Burkina Faso.

Emil Ninu didn't show up to practice as he signed a one and a half year contract with the Bulgarian side Levski Sofia. As such, "U"'s leader in minutes and games played this season will not return to the squad. 

"We're going for the Cup final - who knows, maybe we could even win it - and we're trying to go up in the table," Raul Costin commented. He also said that he'd like to play our local rivals in the semifinals to get revenge for "U"'s last minute defeat against them earlier this season.
