The Russian team Kuban Krasnodar, nicknamed "the cossacks" by the fans, was born in 1928 and its traditional colors are yellow-green. Other names used over time: Dinami, Meftianik, Spartak.
Four times RSFSR champion (1948, 1962, 1973, 1987), 13th place in the USSR champinship (1981), 5th place in Premier Liga (2004, 2007).
