"U"'s men's handball team won their game aginst Baia Mare by a score of 45-31 in an important game in the fight for the top 3 spots in the 2nd division.

 
Coach Alexandru Cuciet commented for ucluj.ro: "It was a game that we looked to take 3 points from, but it was also a warm up game in that our upcoming game against Sebeș will go a long way in determining who finishes in the top 3 spots. The boys put in a good performance, especially the 4 youth players that played today."
 
"U"'s top scorer was Alexandru Pop with 9 goals followed by Liviu Hossu with 7, Roland Zoloymi and Levente Fazakas with 6 each, Horduan with 4, Ioan Polocoșer and Alexandru Balint with 3, and Cîtiu, Draia Marian Zoicaș and Bogdan Barbu with 1 each. 
 
Up next, "U" will face Sebeș on May 18th at 18:00.
