 Universitatea’s  rugby team coached by former international player Nicolae Nichitean played on Saturday a verification game in “Iuliu Haţieganu ” Sports Park against the winner of the Romanian Cup, RCM Timisoara, that our players have definitely lost it with the score 0-86.

For our team  have evolved: Boar, Ciaparii Iustin, Curcu,  Ailenei,  Ciocea, Dragoniciu, Martac, Eduard Ciaparii, Săuan, Dragos Vasile, Vagner, Ciolocoiu, Paraipan, Mazare, Petucher, then have also entered Borobei, Ionescu, Doroftei, Uţiu, Spataru, Moldovan and Handru.  With eight new players who came on as a loan from Timisoara and champion Baia Mare and also Boar returned from Farul Constanta, Cluj couldn’t handle the team from Timisoara, which won without any problems, letting it known a serious candidate for the national title, while Cluj will be aiming the 6th place, so that can remain in the Superleague.

The first stage of the championship will take place on April 7, in Cluj, against Baia Mare, while the second stage also be at home against Farul Constanta on April 14.
