Universitatea drew their home match against Astra Giurgiu in the 32nd round of Liga 1 by a score of 0-0.

The first half saw Universitatea create 4 good chances while Astra only had 1. Morar had chances in the 6th, 22nd, and 26th minutes, but all three of his efforts went wide of goal. Viveiros also had a chance in the 25th minute, but his shot from inside the box went into the side netting. The away side's only chance of the half came through Alibec, whose free kick from 30 meters out in the 16th minute was held by Veselovsky. As such, the halftime score was 0-0.

The first chance of the second half came through Morar, who put Ceppelini's cross in the 61st minute into the side netting. Spătaru had 2 chances in the 70th and 86th minutes, but Dolha stopped both efforts. In the 83rd minute, the very same Dolha held De Amorim's shot at the near post. The home side had one last chance to win it in the 3rd minute of injury time, but Munteanu's header following a cross from Ceppelini was held by Gavrilaș. The final whistle from Balaj sealed another draw. 

Veselovsky was hit in the head by Ben Youssef in the first half and was subbed off in the 48th minute for Dolha. Initially, "U"'s number 33 was able to walk off the field under his own weight, but he fell unconscious in the locker room. In the 57th minute, "U"'s beloved goalkeeper was sent to the hospital because of a concussion.

Adrian Falub won't be able to use Viveiros next round as he will serve a one match suspension for picking up his 7th yellow card of the season. There are quite a few players who risk serving a suspension should they see another yellow Škvorc, Cristocea, Ciupe, Jovanovic, Neag, Costin, Munteanu, Kovacs, and Bambara).

The "Red Caps"'s next match will be on Saturday, May 23rd at 16:00 when "U" will play away to Oțelul Galați in the 33rd round of Liga 1.
