Universitatea drew with FC Brașov at home in the 4th round of Liga 1 by a score of 1-1.

"U" started the game well as Raul Costin put in an early cross that was cleared for a corner (3rd minute). In the 8th minute, Nuno Viveiros scored as he slid the ball in the net following a cross from Boutadjine. Brașov tried to equalize before halftime as Constantinescu's shot in the 39th minute hit the crossbar and Veselovsky saved the follow-up from Sergio da Silva. Bringing on Lungu in the second half gave "U" a burst of energy as Nuno Viverios missed a great chance in the 58th minute and Emil Ninu's header eight minutes later was cleared off the line. The equalizer came in the 80th minute from a free kick taken by Aganovic. The final whistle marked "U"'s first point won at home this season. 

On the day of the match, Gilmerson dos Santos Mota, otherwise known as Gil Bahia, was officially transfered to Universitatea Cluj. The young Brazilian can play both right back and right midfield.

The match with FC Brașov marked the second game in a row where Nuno Viveiros scored following a cross from Boutadjine; the first was scored in "U"'s 2-0 win away to Concordia Chiajna. There were 4,000 "U" supporters at the game as well as 10 Brașov supporters.
