Instat calculated an index for each player that played in the first half of the 2014-2015 season that assesses their performance in the first 17 rounds of the season. Based on these indices, a ranking for each position was compiled.

In terms of midfielders, eight students are in the various rankings compiled by InStat for each type of midfielder: defensive, left, right, and offensive. These players' performances are as follows:

1) Raul Răzvan Costin is in 28th place out of 52 in the ranking for defensive midfielders with an index of 198; he averaged 52 passes per match, 15 duels per match, 3.2 tackles per match as well as 3.8 interceptions per match, 9 recoveries per match, 10 balls lost per match and 8 balls won per match;

2) Andrei Lungu is in 33rd place out of 52 in the ranking for defensive midfielders with an index of 195; he averaged 36 passes per match, 15 duels per match, 2.8 tackles per match as well as 2 interceptions per match, 7 recoveries per match, 10 balls lost per match and 5 balls won per match;

3) Dan Mihai Bucșa is in 42nd place out of 52 in the ranking for defensive midfielders with an index of 189; he averaged 36 passes per match, 17 duels per match, 4.3 tackles per match as well as 4.9 interceptions per match, 7 recoveries per match, 8 balls lost per match and 7 balls won per match;

4) Pablo Daniel Gatto Ceppelini is in 13th place out of 30 in the ranking for left midfielders with an index of 196; he averaged 63 passes per match, 17 duels per match, 4.6 tackles per match as well as 3.6 interceptions per match, 8 recoveries per match, 14 balls lost per match and 6 balls won per match;

5) Nuno Filipe Vasconcelos Viveiros is in 14th place out of 30 in the ranking for left midfielders with an index of 195; he averaged 33 passes per match, 20 duels per match, 3.2 tackles per match as well as 2.3 interceptions per match, 4.6 recoveries per match, 15 balls lost per match and 3.4 balls won per match;

6) Karim Boutadjine is in 16th place out of 28 in the ranking for right midfielders with an index of 189; he averaged 31 passes per match, 20 duels per match, 4.1 tackles per match as well as 3.2 interceptions per match, 5 recoveries per match, 17 balls lost per match and 4.5 balls won per match;

7) Vasilică Cristocea is in 17th place out of 27 in the ranking for offensive midfielders with an index of 193; he averaged 47 passes per match, 14 duels per match, 3.1 tackles per match as well as 2.3 interceptions per match, 6  recoveries per match, 12 balls lost per match and 3.6 balls won per match;

8) Saşa Stojanovic is in 25th place out of 27 in the ranking for offensive midfielders with an index of 179; he averaged 39 passes per match, 16 duels per match, 2.4 tackles per match as well as .5 interceptions per match, 5 recoveries per match, 11 balls lost per match and 2.7 balls won per match.

Three "U" players are in the ranking for strikers compiled by InStat. Universitatea's forward's performances are as follows:

1) Valentin Ionuț Lemnaru is in 14th place out of 37 in the ranking for strikers with an index of 219; he averaged 32 passes per match, 17 duels per match, .5 tackles per match as well as 1.5 interceptions per match, 2.5 recoveries per match, 13 balls lost per match and 1 ball won per match;

2) Justin Junior Mengolo is in 24th place out of 37 in the ranking for strikers with an index of 208; he averaged 17 passes per match, 29 duels per match, 1.6 tackles per match as well as 1.9 interceptions per match, 2.1 recoveries per match, 21 balls lost per match and 1.7 balls won per match;

3) Danzell Gravenberch is in 27th place out of 37 in the ranking for strikers with an index of 205; he averaged 17 passes per match, 20 duels per match, .5 tackles per match as well as 2 interceptions per match, 2 recoveries per match, 16 balls lost per match and 1.4 ball won per match.
