The first half of the 2014-2015 edition of Liga 1 saw two managers take charge of "U" Cluj. While Mihai Teja (36 years old) managed Universitatea for the first 6 rounds of the season, George Ogăraru (34 years old) managed the team for the next 11 rounds. Of the 17 matches played so far this season, the "Red Caps" won 4 matches, drew 6, and lost 7 of them. 

Under the two managers, the players obtained 18 points that put them in 11th place - tied with Pandurii Tărgu-Jiu and Gaz Metan Mediaș. "U" won 9 of their points at home and the other 9 away from home. "U"'s first 8 points of the season came in the first 6 rounds of the season while the 10 other points were won in the first 10 rounds of Ogăraru's mandate as manager.

In the first half of the season, "U" scored 21 goals, 9 of which were scored at home while the other 12 were scored away from home. "U" conceded the same number of goals - 21 - so far this season. While most of "U"'s goals came away from home (12 of 21 toal; 6 of which came in their previous match against Ceahlăul), approximately 53% of the goals conceded (11 goals) were conceded at home.
