Universitatea Cluj met CS Pandurii Targu Jiu, at home, in the 10th round of Liga 1, the match ended with the victory of Ogararu players - score 2-0.

After only 30 seconds of the game, Viveiros's shot hit Stanca's bar. Anton shot from about 30 meters, the ball being rejected in corner by U's goalkeeper (6th minute). Viverios threatened again in the 13th minute as his header following a cross from Cristocea was well saved by Stanca. Achim and Roman each had a chance in the 21st and 26th minutes, respectively, and both saw their shot saved for a corner. The breakthrough came in the 42nd minute as a passing move from Cristocea, Mușat and Achim set up Cristocea, who scored "U"'s first of the night.

Nistor was very active after halftime as he had two great chances (in the 55th and 64th minutes) that were both saved by "U"'s goalie. In the 74th minute, Martulevicious' header beat Veselovsky, but went just wide of the post. In 81st minute, Kovacs scored a superb goal from the edge of the box following a pass from Lungu less than an minute after coming on the pitch. Pandurii had a chance in the 86th minute to cut into "U"'s lead, but Roman struck the post from close range. The final whistle marked a 2-0 win for "U". 

Today's win is Ogăraru's first since he became "U"'s manager as well as "U"'s first against Pandurii in the top flight. Captain Dan Bucsa saw his 3rd yellow card of the season and risks a one-match suspension along with Nuno Viverios and Emil Ninu if they see a fourth yellow.
