Following the rumors from certain media with respect to a potential scandal at "U" Cluj, Universitatea's striker Claudiu Niculescu would like to say the following:
„There is no conflict between myself and the coach, the atmosphere is quite nice in the locker room. I had some muscular problems in the past few days, I followed a treatment and I won't travel to Targu Jiu. Furthermore, I don't want to risk a suspenssion for the match against Dinamo, in which I really want to play. Thus, after talking with coach Ionut Badea, we decided together that it is best that I am not on the roster for the Pandurii game. I will train in Cluj and I will support my teammates in front of the TV”, said Claudiu Niculescu.
Therefore, Universitatea Cluj Football Cluj rejects any attempts to disturb the team's activity, stating once again that here at this club all the premises for performance exist, and this is a fact understood by all the members of our great Family.
