Universitatea Cluj lost their match away to FC Brașov in the 21st round of Liga 1 by a score of 1-0.

In the first 10 minutes of the match, Universitatea's captain made a number of key saves as he stopped shots from Constantinescu (in the 2nd and 3rd minutes) and Matei (in the 7th minute). The black and whites were quick to respond with a chance of their own through Ceppellini, whose free kick in the 13th minute was held by Iacob. The best chance of the first half came from Castillion who intercepted an errant pass from a defender only to have his shot saved by the Brașov's goalie. Towards the end of the half, Ceppelini had another free kick in the 41st minute that was blocked by Juric. As such, the half ended with a blank scoreline (0-0).

"U" started out the second half the better side as Lungu's shot from outside the box was saved spectacularly by the home side's goalie 10 minutes into the half. FC Brașov came back into the game, however, as Aganovic hit the post in the 67th minute. The only goal in the match came in the 72nd minute when Leko took advantage of a mistake from our goalkeeper as he wasn't able to catch a cross from a corner. The final whistle from referee Balaj sealed a 1-0 win for the home side.

This match marks the 4th match in a row in the second half of the season where "U" has not scored a goal. Falub will not be able to use Škvorc and/or Viveiros in "U"'s next match as both are serving a one match suspension for picking up too many yellow cards. Ceppelini and Jovanovic will also serve a one match suspension should they see another yellow card.

Falub's team will face FC Botoșani at home on Tuesday, March 17th at 15:30 in the 22nd round of Liga 1.
