Universitatea Cluj drew their home match against Concordia Chiajna in the 20th round of Liga 1 by a score of 0-0.

The match started out well for the "Red Caps" as they had three chances in the first 10 minutes through Viveiros (3') and Mengolo (5' and 7'), who was set up perfectly by Bambara and Ceppelini, respectively. In the 28th minute, the very same Ceppelini played Lemnaru through on goal, but he was unable to take advantage of Matache's position off the line as his shot went wide of goal. Towards the end of the half, Costin's shot in the 43rd minute was held by the away side's goalie.

After halftime, Florea's shot in the 47th minute was held by Universitatea's captain after he had parried it initially while Dina put the ball wide of "U"'s goal a minute later. In the 53rd minute, Costin's shot from outside of the box went wide of Concordia's goal and Gravenberch's near post shot 4 minutes later was saved by Matache. Two crosses from Ceppelini in the 77th and 78th minute were wasted by by Gravenberch. Universitatea's Uruguayan midfielder had two chances of his own to score in the 69th and 86th minutes when he hit a free kick went over the bar and when Matache saved his well placed free kick, respectively. In injury time, Calcan had the chance to win all three points for "U", but his shot went just wide of the away side's goal. The referee's final whistle marked a goalless draw for two teams that are both fighting to avoid relegation.

The match marked the debut of the Falub-Pojar-Popescu-Suller quartet on Universitatea's coaching staff. After the match, 4 players (Škvorc, Ceppelini, Viveiros and Jovanovic) risk a one match suspension if they see another yellow card.

The "Red Caps'" next match will be on Friday, March 13th at 18:00 when they will play away to FC Brașov in the 21st round of Liga 1.
