Universitatea Cluj faced Astra Giurgiu away from home in a match in the 15th round of Liga 1 that finished as a 1-1 draw. The match saw both teams create many chances, two red cards for the home side two penalties for the away side (th first was scored by Lemnaru while the second was missed by Mușat) and four shots that hit the post (two for Astra and two for Universitatea).

The start of the match in Giurgiu saw Budescu's header from 10 meters out go just wide of the post. The students didn't hesitate to respond as Gravenberch's shot in the 7th minute went over the crossbar and Lemnaru's header in the 13th minute was saved by the home side's goalie. "U" continued to put on the pressure as Gravenberch's shot from the edge of the box hit the crossbar in the 28th minute. The half finished 0-0.

In the second half, Budescu's shot was saved by Panagopoulous in the 55th minute, but Bukari came in for the rebound and put the ball in the back of "U"'s net. Ten minutes later, Lung fouled Cristocea in the box and referee Colțescu gave Universitatea a penalty that Lemnaru would convert in the 67th minute to equalize. Pliatsikas fouled Mengolo in the box 7 minutes later only for Mușat to miss "U"'s second penalty of the match as his shot hit the post. The end of the match saw Protasov's team hit the post twice, once through Bukari in the 85th minute and again through Alibec in the 90th minute. The final whistle from Colțescu sealed a 1-1 draw that gave each team one point.

Ogăraru's players have seen 52 yellow cards in 15 Liga 1 matches this season. Ciupe saw his 4th yellow card of the season and as a result will serve a one match suspension. The list of players that could be suspended (players that have seen 3 yellows this season) has grown considerably as six players (Bucşa, Stojanovic, Ceppelini, Viveiros, Mengolo şi Gravenberch) on "U"'s roster will be suspended if they see another yellow card.

Robert Veselovsky's meniscus surgery ealier this week was successful. Through ucluj.ro, he "salutes and thanks the greatest fans in Romania for their support."

Next round, "U" will face Oțelul Galați at home on Saturday, November 29th at 18:00.
