On Saturday, Universitatea Cluj faced Gaz Metan Mediaș away from home in a match in the 13th round of Liga 1 that finished 1-1. 

After Mujdragic cleared Ciupe's cross for Gravenberch in the 9th minute, Gaz Metan took control of the match as they created good chances through Roman and Llullaku in the 17th and 20th minutes, respectively. The same Llullaku broke the deadlock in the 39th minute as his shot from outside the box went in off the post. The home side had a chance to double their lead before halftime, but Curtean's free kick was denied by Veselovsky in the 41st minute. 

Gaz Metan picked up right where they left off in the second half as they threatened to score through Roman and Llullaku in the 51st and 55th minutes, respectively.

"U" started to take control of the match as Gravenberch's header from Viveiros' cross went just wide. Eleven minutes later, Paulinho's shot from 25 meters out hit the crossbar only for Valentin Lemnaru to miss a great chance a few seconds later following a cross from Ciupe. "U" finally got their equalizer in the 82nd minute as Mengolo's lob from 11 meters came off of the post only to be deflected by Crețu into his own net. Towards the end of the match, Figliomeni tried to win the game for the home side only to be denied twice by Veselovsky in the 89th and 92nd minutes. The final whistle from Marius Avram sealed a 1-1 draw for the two Transylvanian sides. 

Danzell Gravenberch saw his 3rd yellow card of the season during the match and is the third player, along with Bucșa and Viveiros, in "U"'s squad that could be suspended for one match should he see a fourth. Half of the goals scored by "U"'s players this season have been scored in the last 30 minutes of their matches. 

Next round, Ogăraru's players will face Petrolul Ploiești at home on Saturday, November 8th at 20:30.
