"U" Jolidon played the second leg against Cancaya Ankara today to advance to the quarter finals of the EHF Cup. Coach Horațiu Pașca decided to bench the veterans and put his faith in young players.
The first half was close as our girls were losing, but were able to tie it up at half due to their ambition (13-13). The second half was dominated by "U" Cluj as the final score, 32-23 for "U", left no doubts.
Laura (in the picture above) was "U"'s top scorer with 9 goals followed by Roxana Cîrjan with 5, Cristina Laslo and Abigail Vălean with 4 each, Cristina Boian and Andreea Tetean with 3 each, Irina Ivan with 2, and Alexandra Lup and Magda Paraschiv with 1 each.
We welcome back Magda Paraschiv, who came back from the maternity ward to start this game.
