"U"'s Heaviest Defeat

 "U" Jolidon lost the game played against Corona Brașov with a score of 35-26 (16-14 at the half) in the "C.P. Colibasi" Sports Arena in Brașov, suffering their heaviest defeat this season.

 
The game was balanced for much of the game as the students kept within 2 goals for 40 minutes. When the score was 22-17, the girls managed to make a run and bring the score down to 23-21, but unfortunately couldn't complete the comeback as the Bogdan Burcea's team ran away with the game.
 
"U"'s goalscorers were: Mihaela Ani-Senocico (9 goals), Forina Maria Chintoan (4 goals), Laura Popa and Simona Vintila (3 goals each), Stefania Florea and Andreea Tetean (2 goals each) and Cristin Laslo, Irina Ivan and  Raluca Mihai (1 goal each).
 
Following this loss and the game from Roman, where the local team beat Neptun Constanța with a score of 28-24, the ladies coached by Horațiu Pașca fell a spot in table, dropping to 5th place.
 
After the game, sporting director Cosmin Sălăjan commented for ucluj.ro: "This loss wasn't the end of the world, even if it was by 9 goals. The team from Brașov was better, we fought towards the end but I chose to bench a couple players to rest them for the game against Craiova."
 
The game against Craiova will be on January 29th 2014 in the "Horea Demian" Sports Arena at 18:00
