First match ends in a narrow defeat

Yesterday, Universitatea Cluj's women's handball team lost their first match in the second half of the season away to HCM Roman by a score of 26-24 (12-11 at the half).
The match was tightly contested in spite of a relatively inexperienced squad and a new manager. The girls' ambition to fight was felt by the home side until the very end of the match.
"U"'s goalscorers were Florina Chintoan with 7 goals, Laura Popa with 6, Cristina Laslo with 5, Corina Biriş and Andreea Tetean with 2 each, and Raluca Petruş and Magda Paraschiv with 1 goal each.
