End of the road in the Cup

"U" Jolidon lost yesterday away to Fehervar KC in the quarter finals of the EHF Cup by a score of 24-21.
The first half was dominated by the Hungarian team as they built a lead that was as large as 8 goals. After the break, however, the girls fought back to reduce the deficit to one goal. Unfortunately, they didn't have much time to overcome the 7 point aggregate deficit that Fehervar built in the first leg.
Along with the team, 38 fans showed up in Hungary, supporting the girls up until the final whistle of the game even though the team's chances to qualify were slim after the 1st half.
"U" Jolidon's top scorer was Laura Popa with 10 goals, while Mihaela Ani Senocico, Magda Paraschiv, Simona Vintilă each scored 2 and Florina Chintoan, Irina Ivan, Andreea Tetean, Ṣtefania Florea and Roxana Cîrjan each scored a goal.
It's worth noting that "U" Jolidon was the only Romanian team to reach the EHF Quarter Finals this season.
We'd like to congratulate the girls for their great cup run and the fans for their unconditional support as well.
