"U" Jolidon lost their first playoff game against Corona Brașov by a score of 28-29 (12-18 at the half). Horațiu Pașca's team started the game out well, but Corona responded well and built a 6-goal halftime lead.
The game was much closer in the second half as "U" managed to take the lead. Brașov took control towards the end of the game as a result of their agressive pressing and several injuries on "U"'s team.
Cristina Laslo commented for ucluj.ro: "We expected a tough game. Brașov has a great team with a number of good players. We gave them a tough game, but unfortunately we couldn't get the win. We need to do what we have to win the next game in Brașov even though it'll be harder away from home. We're feeling good about our chances and we're ready to give it our all. We'd like to thank the fans who've always supported us."

Game 2 is on May 9th and "U" will face Corona in Brașov.
