4th loss for the Women's Handball Team

 "U"'s Women's Handball team lost their 4th game of the season against 1st placed HCM Baia Mare.

 
The game was dominated by the team from Maramureș from the first minute as it took "U" 7 minutes to score their first goal when the score was already 6-0 for the away team. "U" needed another 8 minutes to score their second goal; the score at that point already 11-2. At the half, the score was 18-8.
 
The second half was more of the same as the girls coached by Horia Pașca and Ioan Ani Senocicio managed to get the score as close as 20-25 in the 48th minute. The final score was 23-31, which saw "U" drop down a spot in the table to 6th, level on points with HC Zalău.
 
It's worth noting that of "U"'s 4 losses, 3 were decided by 8 points. "U"'s goalscorers this game were: Chinotan (6
goals), Vintilă (6 goals; 3 from 7m), Ani-Senocico (4 goals; 1 from 7m), Popa (3 goals), Tetean (2 goals), and Forea
and Laslo (1 a piece).
 
After the game, sporting director Cosmin Sălăjan commented for ucluj.ro: "First off, we'd like to thank everyone who came
to support the girls. We knew we had a tough game ahead of us, but we had a bad start that ultimately decided the game. Even though we came back on the scoreboard a little, there's a big difference between the two teams. CSM București, a tricky opponent, is up next on the road. It's going to be an intense game, I hope the girls will do everything needed to take home the 3 points."
 
CSM București is in 7th place on the table, with 2 points less than Universitatea. The game will be on January 14, 2014 at 19:30 on
Digisport.
